Making a Space for Ourselves: A Support Group for Black Girls and Woman
April 8, 2024 @ 8:00 pm - 9:15 pm

If you have a parent or close relative with a mental health disorder, you may have a lot of questions such as where does this come from, how should I feel, and are there any ways that I can help?
Well, you are not alone, and this support group is a great place to learn more. During our sessions, we will discuss different mental health disorders and the way they may be impacting your family members. We will also have a safe and supportive environment to discuss the impact that these diagnoses may have had on you, your relationship with your family members, and the way you see the world.
This support group is facilitated by Dr. Raquel Martin, a licensed clinical psychologist who believes deeply in the power of Black mental wealth – an affirming, lifelong journey that encourages Black people to center mental health practices as integral and intentionally linked to success and well-being. Black Girls Smile is proud to partner with Dr. Raquel to bring you this free six-week support group! Learn more about each week’s topic below.
