Founded in 1968, (GBABSW) is committed to enhancing the quality of life and empowering people of Black African ancestry. The Sankofa 2023 Celebration and Awards Dinner highlights the journey. The theme this year is “Forward Movement: Black Social Workers, Past, Present & the Future.”
2023 Sankofa Awards
The Sankofa Awards salute the work and dedication of individuals and programs who consistently have labored to raise social awareness and strived for social justice in the Black community. They will be acknowledged by way of the following awards: Chapter Award, Community Service Award, Unsung Hero Award, and Emerging Professional Award.
