Supporting Postpartum Moms Through Depression, Anxiety & Overwhelm

April 11 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Postpartum depression and anxiety don’t just affect the mind—they live in the body. For many new moms, traditional talk therapy alone isn’t enough to address the deep overwhelm, exhaustion, and dysregulation that can follow birth.

This 3-credit continuing education training is designed to equip clinicians with trauma-focused, somatic, and nervous system-based tools to help postpartum clients move beyond survival mode and truly heal.

What This Workshop Covers

Through a body-centered, attachment-aware, and nervous system-informed lens, this workshop will explore:

  • Understanding postpartum depression and anxiety beyond cognition
Why these conditions are deeply embodied experiences and how they manifest.
  • Somatic interventions for postpartum distress
Practical tools to regulate the nervous system and help clients reconnect with themselves.
  • Working with guilt, shame, and intrusive thoughts
How to hold space for mothers struggling with overwhelming emotions.
  • Bridging talk therapy with body-based healing
Techniques to help moms feel safe in their own skin again.

By the end of this training, clinicians will walk away with tangible interventions to help postpartum clients navigate anxiety, depression, and overwhelm—supporting them in reclaiming their sense of self in motherhood.
