At a very young age, I was always inspired to help others due to watching my mother put in long hours as a certified nursing assistant. Her perseverance after migrating from Haiti gave me the tools I needed to pursue a career in nursing. Throughout my nursing career, the patients I care all seem to express the same needs despite differences in medical and mental health conditions. They have told me “I can not find a provider to care for my needs” or “There’s a long wait list to see a provider” or ” I felt unheard and rushed at my healthcare appointments”. I listened to their concerns and decided to advance my studies so I can be in a position where I fill in the gaps of healthcare.

I created Purple Health Wellness to be different from the usual “rush” in healthcare settings that patients were experiencing. The color purple holds various meanings and symbolism such as wealth, power, calm, healing, ambition and Confidence, conveying a sense of independence and dignity. All of these values are important to me and the goal of Purple Health Wellness is to help people create or instill similar values for their lifestyle. At Purple Health Wellness, my mission is to have each individual leave their wellness visit feeling heard, hopeful, inspired, at peace. Purple Health Wellness was created to provide a safe, non judgemental environment where people are treated as a person instead of being treated for their medical or physical condition.

Purple Health Wellness provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations which can include therapy and medication management. Purple Health Wellness also provides health services that bridges the gap of primary and urgent care. What makes Purple Health Wellness unique is that Basic Life Support/CPR services can be provided as an essential life saving skill.
