Who can join?
WomXn across the Black American & African diaspora who reside in Massachusetts. Welcoming to LGBTQIA+ identities.
What are the guidelines?
1. If you are more than 15 minutes late to the group, you will not be admitted. Due to the nature of this service, all sales are final and we are unable to provide refunds.
2. Be sure to present your first name/preferred name and pronouns in groups.
3. Keep group conversations confidential outside of the group. If you are not alone, please use headphones.
4. To minimize background noise, keep your audio muted and raise your hand to contribute your thoughts and emotions related to the group topic.
5. Keep your video on to promote a safe, welcoming, and transparent virtual space.
6. Use “I” statements instead of “you should, you could.” What is true for you may not be true for all.
7. I know we can get passionate, but refrain from the use of profanity.
8. Do not share specific details of trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harm, substance use, weight, behaviors related to eating disorders, medications, or violence. Use general terms and talk about the emotions you experienced. Helpful replacement words are the following: harm, abuse, medical or mental health issue, “I felt [insert emotion] when…”
